    Procoder Express Error from Edius 4.5 to 451c

    Hello!
    I think that finally I have a serious problem because I can't export anything anymore from the timeline through Procoder Express. Procoder doesn't start.
    Do I have really to uninstall EVERYTHING (Xplode Pro, and all plugins and Edius????).
    What about CANOPUS, they don't have any solution of fix?

    Hi Ioannis,

    I needed to uninstall Edius as well and all related programmes (DVcapture, etc),
    deleted their folders from the system drive, but I am not sure, whether all this was inevitable or not. After the failed update of PCE I was not able to remove/uninstall it by the Windows' Add/Remove programmes, so I needed to start from scratch (deleting related folders, cleaning the registry) and this way it worked. Just do not forget: not to install PCE until you make the uptdate of Edius to 451c.

    Hi,
    I had similar problem during upgrade from 4.02 to 451c.
    Finally I needed to delete PCE related folders (Canopus and the Canopus shared folders) and cleaned the registry.
    Installed Edius from CD without PCE, and when I ran the upgrade to 451c then I clicked to install PCE.
    Now it works fine!

    I am experiencing precisely the same problem. Exact same message. It occurs at 81% of the install process.

    I have cleared the temp folder (including hidden), ran the Microsoft "ComponentTransferErrorFix.exe" all with no success.

    I believe I read in a post somewhere from a Canopus employee that the problem had shown up in the beta testing. I've also had a post that since no one else in the world had experienced the problem, it was my computer. It's nice to have company (sorry).

    If you find a solution, please be sure to post it here.

    I haven't contacted Edius support yet, but that will be next.

    was the system temp folder empty prior to starting the update process? most if these problems come from a full temp folder that has files from a previous install, always clear ir first

    so now, you may have to rerun the Procoder installer on its own after clearing hidden temp folder (show all hidden files and folders must be enabled)

    I update Edius 4.5 to 4.51c and during the update I had the following message in the Procoder Express Update:

    Component transfer error
    Component: Common files
    File Group: System Presets
    File: <svSystemPresetsFolder>\
    Error: The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.

    Could you please tell me what to do if you have any ideas...
