FYI, when you launch any of the special editing modes via the function keys (F6 for the trim mode, F7 for layout, F8 for multicam, and so on) you can always disable or exit that mode by pressing the button again.
Assuming, of course, that you know which button you pressed to begin with....

Whew ! I found it. I went back to Mode and changed back. It had me worried for a minute. So far 4.5 has been super for me.... something like this all ways happens to me when I am deep into a project and have already overshot my deadline. As usual I am always one click from disaster and one click from success.

Help intered multi cam mode somehow
I am deep into a 2 hour project and while converting the 16X9 clips to 4x3 it appears I have pressed f8 as a shortcut to the layout insead of f7. Now I have green markers all over the timelind and two and three playback windows.
How do I get back to my original time line ?
