  • EDIUS 6.0X with AVCHD 2.0 ?

I'm interested in SONY NEX-VG20 camcorder, which use AVCHD 2.0 for HD video.

And the EDIUS 6.5 sepc. wrote:add AVCHD 2.0 support.

Does it means that EDIUS 6.0X , cannot import AVCHD 2.0 files? Such as clips shooted by SONY NEX-VG20 ?

Any one have experinces with SONY NEX-VG20 and EDIUS 6.0X ?

Use the Sony software to transfer to the PC. Back them up to your archive. Then import the M2TS clip to the bin. My Sony CX700 is also AVCHD 2.0 and the 60P files work fine in Edius.

You should have no problem in editing clips NEX VG20 in EDIUS 6.

I have been tested with the NEX-FS100 that records Full HD 60p/50p and I can edit without any problems in EDIUS 6.07, so will your camera

The specific version of the codec AVCHD 2.0, is simply an extension of the recording feature 50p/60p in Full HD and 3D Stereoscopic... nothing else.

        So go ahead.
