your audio settings are incorrect for PAL DVD
go through these steps and see what else does not match
http://www.videoproductions.com.au/h...vd-burner.html
I have followed the instructions and set the settings in the Movie Tab (see attachment), but it still won't work. I notice that in point 8. you say to "...now insert disc...". Well, my Burn2Disc won't recognise a disc at that point. It only seems to recognise it when I 1st start it up. Changing discs has no effect. *Sigh*Attached FilesLast edited by GrassValley_SL; 05-18-2012, 04:15 AM.Computers should make our lives simpler, not more complicated...

in that case, your burner is not supported by the EDIUS Disk Burner
I am using Pioneer burners and have not had any issues
but, I usually burn with other software, because I always test the compilation for problems prior to burningAnton Strauss

Perhaps it's time I asked the question of EDIUS support themselves.
Thanks again for your help...much appreciated.

No burner showing
Hi Walter,
It looks to me like EDIUS can't see your burner at all! Even with no disc in the drive, you should be able to see the drive listed, what drive letter it identifies as, then a little "Media Type: no disc" underneath.
Do you have another program open somewhere that is also trying to burn a DVD? You mentioned using ImgBurn, (which it must be said is an excellent program). Have you had any problems with that? Imgburn seems to be a little more pushy than EDIUS when 'negotiating' use of the optical drives with windows and other programs.
I have also come across some specialised burning software (often specifically designed to pirate copy-protected DVDs/BDs) that replace or supplement windows' driver set. This causes havoc more often than not. Even removing these is often not enough, you may need to do some maintenance on your registry.

I agree, it's as though EDIUS thinks I have no burner. Funny thing though, I built this machine from scratch and only loaded the motherboard software (including BIOS Update), the burner's Lightscribe SW and the Cyberlink SW that came with the drive. All of which is now removed (except of BIOS Update). Then I installed EDIUS. After that, ImgBurn when I found I couldn't burn discs.
I have no trouble at all with IMGBurn, works like a charm, I just prefer to have the one solution (considering I PAID FOR IT). I'd sure love to know if anyone else has both EDIUS and Imgburn installed and what kind of burning experience they're having...
I'm currently in a drawn out email conversation with support to try and remedy the situation. As helpful as they are, there is still currently no resolution.
Cheers,

Hi Walter,
I have Imgburn installed and use it occasionally - EDIUS burns away like a charm so I doubt that imgburn is causing compatibility issues.
I would be surprised if your drive is simply incompatible with EDIUS! I guess it's possible but to my knowledge that drive shares components with several others.
If you can borrow a mate's DVD burner for an hour or so to plug in and try out, that'd be the best way to figure out that bit.
