  • Edius 6.5 versions

    There are a few rumours (or leaks) floating on the net that E6.5 will come in various flavours..

    Elite
    Pro
    Neo
    Xpress

    I am guessing:

    Elite = 6.5+3D
    Pro = 6.5
    Neo = Neo
    Xpress = even more basic maybe even free!

      If they did do a split then a 3d version slightly more expensive than the plain version would certainly pass a message for and against to the GV consumer department.

          I can't imagine that! It really makes no sense!

          OK, the license could be easily managed by online activation, but supporting all these different application levels would generate much more costs for GV!

          Be shure, EDIUS would going to be more expensive for us because development has still to be payed!
          The total cost of ownership would just reallocated depending on versions!

          Too many different versions makes no sense in times where NLE's should be a swiss knife from users view.
          The competition provides also just one version with all in!
          In addition to this the price gap between consumer & professional versions will be more noticeable & I would think most of us would have an disadvantage from such kind of diversity!
