  • P2 files dissapeard when upgrade to 6.07

I updated Edius 6.06 to the new 6.07 version and all of my P2 files have disappeared. I can find the files on the PC in the project file in a folder called "Transferred", but Edius will not link them.

The source Browser window is also now blank and I can't import anything. I tried re-installing the update and same result. Tried to re-run the 6.06 version but it will not allow the installer to continue. Looks like I'll have to completely uninstall Edius to reload 6.06. If I do this...will I loose all of my projects. I'm in the middle of a couple big edits for some clients.

    I'm using a Dual-Xeon Z800 workstation with Windows 7 professional.

    Thanks.

    Bob

    Hmm this is strange.

This happened after the 6.07 update only right?

That is correct. Everything was fine until I did the update this morning. I've used every version of 6 with no problems at all. Any ideas?

No not yet. I am trying to find an old project with P2 in the transferred folder to check.

Other projects with P2 are all fine. (cards transferred with Panasonic Ingester)

O.k., I appreciate you looking in to this. I always use the source browser and use the add to and transfer to bin option. What's also strange is that the source browser window is blank showing no list. It is completely blank.

I have a P2 project that I created on Tuesday, and I transferred the P2 card contents using Source Browser with "Add to Bin and Transfer". I updated to V6.07 last night and worked with the P2 project afterwards -- my clips were still there.

Hmm that is weird. Oh wait can you check if the driver for your dongle is installed correctly?

Ok I found 3 projects with P2 in the transferred folder. All of them opened fine with no problems with links.

But No info the browser Looks to be an indication of an issue.
Can you please post a screenshot?

Also make sure to check the dongle.

I re-installed Edius 6 from my original install disc, then once again did the update to 6.07 and everything came in fine this time. All of my P2 files are there and so is the source browser. Not sure why it hiccuped the first time after the update, but all seems to be working now.

Again...I appreciate you checking on this for me.
