  • Edius 6.4 freeze temporarily after switching between programs

Every time I switch from another program and back to edius, edius doesn't respond for about 30 seconds. This includes Quick Titler. Is there a setting or option somewhere that is creating this problem?

The project is 1920x1080 and has about seven 1 to 2 minute sequences.

    Here are my specs:
    Windows 7 Professional 32 bit
    Intel Core i7 CPU 870 @ 2.93GHz 3.07 GHz
    3.44 GB usable RAM
NVIDIA Quadro 600 with Edius Storm 3G Card

The problem persists with equal frequency with all other programs closed.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

How long has this been happening? If it is recent, what new programs have you installed or changes that you have made? Are you running an antivirus on this machine?

I don't think we have EDIUS 6.4 latest update is 6.07.
If you are using 6.04 I would suggest to update to 6.07 there is a fix in it which may solve your issue.

Get Support or the Latest version of EDIUS:

        Okay, I thought I had 6.04 (even though I typed 6.4) but I actually have 6.03.
        I will definitely update ASAP.

On top of that, I tried saving an alternate version of my project then deleted all files not pertaining to the most recent sequence. It seems to have fixed the problem, but I'm not sure if it was the multiple sequences the multiple video files or title files.

I will update, and open the original sequence to see if the problem was fixed in the patch.

As Jerry suggested, are you running anti virus?
