Edius is unlikely to support OS which is not even released yet.

windows 8 even though it is still not official
consumer is the preview for the general public
I tried to install it on my machine and the only program that does not work is edius
I hope that in a future update (free)
edius 6 will make it compatible

this usually happens one year (or less) after an OS is officially released

since in Win8, fingers need to be used, I would say EDIUS needs to be redesigned from the ground up and if it comes to that finger use, I will say goodbye, I will not touch my screen, I will never own an ipad....

Yes you will, it's only a matter of time.

It might cost a lot of investment in barrels of beer though :)

Windows 8 will not necessarily have to use your fingers
I do not think we need to reprogram edius other programs is only needed a little update
nvidia and amd have officially released drivers for win8

True, but what benefit do you expect to gain in regards in using Edius on this new O.S. ? Not starting a debate here, just out of curiosity ................

Security is more tight, (claims with every new O.S.) and better for touch, both not very interesting for desktop use, certainly not for a NLE workstation.

I do not think you have an advantage with win8 but I hope to have more support for my investment edius6 I bought in December and I am very sorry that my purchase in a few months to become obsolete, especially for a professional program that cost me a lot of money

You are being very unfair and unrealistic. This thread must close, it is ridiculous.

I am ridiculous? ok I thought this forum we would exchange information and support, but I'm finding only fans who defend at all costs the choices of Grass Valley
This is not what I'm looking

Any discussion on an un-released OS should be done somewhere else.
As the software is not officially released yet EDIUS will not work with it.
