I cannot see my video in preview window.why?

    I cannot see my video in preview window.why?

    Hi all
    I just had this problem. In my timeline there are 8 sequences.I have edited one by one.After completion of the last sequence just now I tried to view the previous edited sequences.I can see all sequences, except one, from timeline to preview window.What may be the problem?Why can't I see from timeline to preview monitor when other sequences can be seen?
    When I export it using ProCoder 3 Edius Express Wizard to DVD, the exported file is ok.Any guess?

    I assume you man in the recorder monitor? Is the sequence dark as in muted?

        Thanks for your reply. I mean in the preview monitor (the one which shows the timeline video).And yes the preview monitor goes black. It only happens with one sequence(not particularly the same sequence always as it is sometimes this and that, but any one sequence.)And sometimes it shows not only black monitor but purple color too.
        Last when I re select the same project setting again then it showed all sequences. But after I close the Edius and when again reopen, any one of the sequence does not appear in the preview monitor and I 'll have to re select the project settings again.I have not installed any graphics card so far. Is this because of this graphic card or any other reason?Have a nice day.

        Mine has the core2quad,4 GB ram.2.64Ghz processor.

          First of all the monitor on the left is the Player (sometimes called Preview or Source) Monitor. The one on the right is the Recorder (sometimes called Timeline) Monitor.

          It does sound like a graphics issue. I would certainly try a graphics card.

            HSL limiters

            Hi Grassvalley
            Thanks a lot. My mistake. It's record monitor. Sure ,I will try with graphics card.

            But, could you please help me to find the tutorials on "how to use HSL limiters and it's application " during color correction with white balance or 3 way color correction?"
