Hi- I shoot and edit mostly in hdv 720p. I prefer to keep the projects native, and generally export to 720p wmv (as well as to dvd for some projects).
Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a 720 project setting for the HDStorm. This means I can't monitor in HD as I work, or show people the project in HD straight from the timeline.
Where I need to do so, I use a 1080p project setting, and the pictures look ok, though as they are up-scaled on the fly, I'm not 100% confident of the video quality. But the bigger problem is that all titles and graphics are the wrong size and in the wrong place.
Am I missing some way to output 720p on the HDStorm? I'd love to hear from anyone else using HDStorm and 720p- what workflow do you use- are there some easy work-arounds I'm missing?
Cheers- Rob
