As he mentioned before going from the HD timeline to HD uncompressed avi will increase the quality with x% over Canopus HQfine settings.
Read the x% as single low digit, as it is small but present !

What is the x%? I'm sorry I dont understand this.
So canopusHQfine works if send it to tmpg.
But if i export it to HD uncompressed can i use the same method with tmpg if i want an SD for dvd?
Sorry if i ask silly things.Still try to learn. :(

      Single X% stand for 1, 2, 3 or more percent with a max of 9 :)

In my limited experience capturing uncompressed SD footage from VHS sources and such can make a huge difference when still need to be cleaned etc.

Exporting gains from a good HD source to uncompressed HD gains, but extremely little compared to the very effective Canopus HQ codec with Fine settings.

You can feed T5 almost anything, except food & beer :)

I tried almost every kind of export that has been prosposed here in the forum except T5 cause I dont have it yet.1920X1080 25p to 720X576 nomatter the kind of export.......unacceptable result.Maybe it was wrong from the beggining to record to progressive even though I knew that one of my final project would be in DVD.If anyone know a better way please....inform us!!!

Progressive is not the issue, I record source [email protected] all the time, very smooth in either p or i project.
The main problem, as you found out the hard way, with 24 / 25 or even 30p you really need to plan your shots, tripod locked, extreme slow panning etc , run and gun are out at these rates.

As Tony advises shooting progressive requires a different technique

Thank you guys.I appreciate the help.I just like the colours and the contrast of canon video(dslr).for the web its perfect but on dvd its not good.anyway.You are right concerning the technique of shooting.I shoot on a monopode almost all te time so its not so steady all the time.and of course my pannings are kind of slow but of course not like in a tripod that you can do it really slow.Anyway.
Thank you very much for your help.Just one last question.Anton said about elementary stream export.Besides te final export(one for video - one for sound) is elementary better as quality export or it just give you 2 diffenert exports(picture-sound)
