trial or update ?

Hi guys,
Just got back after a month in Tokyo ,
so l feel like I've been out of the loop about the new Edius 4.5

Just downloaded the 4.51c update = 469mb
and the 4.51c trial = 259mb

So let me see if I've got this right....
the update will only work if a previous version of 4 is installed ?
and the trial obviously can be installed fresh.

But why are the file sizes so different ? ? ?

I am using Edius Pro Broadcast is that why my Edius 4.51c update is so big compared to the trial.

Which one should I install ?

I want to build a new system without going through the older version of 4
but I feel like there must be something missing from the trial as it is about half the size.

As far as I know, the trial is not 4.51c it is an older build than the latest update. The update is big because it has multi language help files in there which make it big.

1. Removed unnecessary tools and utility updates
2. Removed all help files that aren't English

Be aware that the trial is based of v4.51 (and not v4.51c). Also, you can't upgrade a trial version - you'll most likely run into version errors.

So if you have a version already installed (e.g. v4.24) - download the update. Not the trial.
