Will Edius export DVD as IMAGE file?

Will Edius export DVD as IMAGE file? Now we can export only audio and video files and then use the next software for convert to DVD ISO IMAGE /dvdshrink/. Will be better in the future? I think, it is so simple to add this function.

No- Edius creates Video_TS folder, not an image- Edius description in settings is actually misleading/incorrect.
Use IMGBurn to create image out of this folder- one of the best tools on the planet :)

If you would like to create a real ISO file in one single step I recommend you virtual CD/DVD-burner tool!
It can be selected as CD/DVD/BD-burner in disc creator!

Andreas no need to spend a penny- nothing can match IMGBurn for such a task.

I Second IMGburn, great free software, better then many paid counter parts, great 'intelligent' software which informs you if settings are incorrect and change it for you (if you accept) and not simply spit out an error and that's it.

Perfect for adding 'extra's' like timeline grabs (photo's) and project data folders to a DVD or BDMV.

ImgBurn is also the only burning software that can produce a DVD+R DL that will play in all players with perfect layer break

I even send DVD+R DL to replicator, never a problem

the only thing that could be improved is to allow user to burn to multiple burners at the same time like Nero Burning Rom

IMGBurn is the only burning software I use & I recommend it all the time.
Shure, you can create an image in minutes, maybe seconds on SSDs! ;)
But in context to the start quesition I brought just a solution to create a real image in one easy step!
Not a big deal, but a solution if someone needs ISO creation in the same step.

I am using DVDshrink, its free but I would like to export directly from edius. :). Why not? :)

Burn to disc will make an image of the disk you are burning for further use

No,
EDIUS builds just a folder structure on hard disc!
This is not what I would call an image file or ISO!

What would be the workflow to get an Image file that could be put on a usb stick?

For playing back on my TV i have been using Mpeg files and put on USB stick , if 1440X1080 you may have to export as 1920 or some TVs could see it as 4X3
Im not 100% sure Imgburn may create an ISO from the DVD folder made by Edius but im not an expert but its free for you to download and find out

Thanks, But how do I get Edius to create these folders? When I go to Disc Burner I have no option to do anything but burn a disc.

If uyou look at the options in the last tab
You can
a) Burn a disc andcreate an image which does both
b) just tick the top box - burn to folder. the second option will have the burn ticked but greyed out. At the end of the process it will ask you to put a disk in but you dont have to the folder will have been created with DVD_ image and DVD-Temp in the folder you nominated
