  • Capturing AVCHD

A friend of mine has supplied a number of DVDs supposedly containing data from the hard drive on his Sony HD consumer camera. He says they are AVCHD files and he wants me to edit them.
My computer says there's nothing on the DVDs although one can see that they have been burned on.
Edius also doesn't pick up any files existing on the DVDs.
Any suggestions how we can read the DVDs? Or tell if there really is anything on them?

Did they "finalize" the disc from the camera? Most of these DVD burning consumer cameras require you to finalize the disc before it's usable on other players.
