Editing DVD's in Edius 6

I have several dvd's that I want to combine into one dvd.After I bring them into Edius will they play on the timeline or do I need to convert them?

Also now that I have to make a new dvd what process should I do so I loose the least amount of quality when making the new dvd?

they will play fine on the timeline as long as "reconstruct files" was ticked

you should not lose any quality if your export bitrate is above 7000 (it all depends on the new duration)
