  • Exporting hdv settings?

I still have no HD monitor good enough to notice any quality difference (if any) can anyone tell which settings are best for exporting 1080 for BD?

Final use will be BD (Encore) and direct from HHD playback

    Thanks

I would like to know this too - With sd, you export a 720x576 mpeg 2, and Encore doesn't need to transcode it. What IS the best way to export HDV from edius, ready for encore (BR) so that its native to BR???

    Is this right? >>>

Have you guys thought about using HDV Speed Encoder? It uses all cores if you have a multi-core machine. It creates a 25mbps .m2t file, you can strip this file have a .m2v and .mp2 together. Just a quick solution, I'm sure the Blu-Ray presets that Mark put up are a much better solution.

HVD speed encoder, .mt2 file, doesn't encore want to transcode that though?

        - I'll have to do a search on that one :)

        Thanks Dave.

Hey Matt, that screenshots huge and I am on 1680x1050 :)

Anyways, if you demux the m2t file (it's a container of video and audio) you should be able to use the m2v file. You can re-export the audio portion to AC3 directly, or WAV, whichever you prefer and import them into Encore. I have not tried this, but it *might* work?

You should be able to demux or convert .m2t into compatible MPEG2 files:
