You won't be able to export to Avid IMX without the Avi codec pack, but you can export to IMX D10/30, which has the same parameters, but in an mxf wrapper.

        Hi Ilan.

Most broadcasters will accept MPEG2 PROGRAM STREAM with an I frame only GOP, at either 4:2:0 or 4:2:2 Edius not only does both, but does them very fast, and at high bitrates (such as the typical submission request of 50Mbit/sec for SD by broadcasters) produces excellent quality encodes.

There are other ways of doing this, with more efficient and technically superior codecs. But MPEG2 is very safe, and despite all the newer codecs, it is regarded as a safe pair of hands, that most people trust.

Maybe try out a few short clips (10 seconds should do it), trying out PCM audio, and FTP them to the TV station for checking.

        Cheers.

        Dave
