    Which codec do you need?
MXF is a just container format! There can be everything in what is called "codec"! :D

EDIUS is able to export MXF containing the following codecs:
    1. Canopus HQ + HQX
    2. DV
    3. DV10
    4. DVCPRO25
    5. DVCPRO50
    6. DVCPROHD
    7. AVCIntra
    8. MPEG2
    9. JPEG2000

Better you ask your service provider for detailed specifications!
Mostly XDCAM HD 422 will be accepted by most of them!

Betacam is SD- HDCAM is HD. As Andreas said- ask your client- AVC-I may be good choice in your case.

Sadly, AVCIntra will work also for HD exports only!
Maybe XDCAM IMX could be a way for file delivery?
Since it contains just MPEG2 it should work on many NLE systems!
SONY provides a plugin to give XDCAM support in FCP (if needed)!

IMX-D10/50 mxf seems to be the best option for you. It's also a native codec for some Beta decks (mpeg_imx)
