  • HQX SD and After Effects

Hi, I work in PAL SD widescreen project and I want to export video file from After Effects in HQX codec. So I have question:

    1. Is it HQX work with SD project(widescreen)?
    2. With witch filed domimant(upper or lower) I must export from After Effects?

Thanks in advance and sorry if this is already discuss, bit I search and didn't find information.

HQX is fine in an AE SD project, field render should be set to upper, unless you are working with DV projects (DV uses lower field) In any case you can change the field dominance for each file in Edius.

Filed order is up to you- once you import file back to Edius just match AE setting.

Top/Lower is not really that strict in your case (it's mainly for broadcast, where specific filed order is expected and can't be assumed)- if you do AE work and than later other work it's all in your hands and you can choose what you want, depending on your needs.
