I get to too, typically after switching away to another program. Can't pinpoint it. Strange.

Maybe the Windows auto play is kicking in, try to disable for all files (& media) so that when a USB stick or CD /DVD is inserted nothing happens.

I have not captured for a while, but when using FireWire to capture SD / HDV footage Edius 5.x used to abort capture on USB insertion, not sure if 6.x also does this.

It depends on your system! It's the way how Win7 shows you when an application does not response to the OS!
This can happen when a new target drive will be recognized!
It's mostly not an problem with EDIUS!

Since upgrading to Edius 6.05 whenever I plug in a usb stick or insert a memory card into my computer with Edius running it crashes to a white screen for 20 seconds and then returns back again. This never happened before does anybody else have this probem?
