  • Edius 5 and Dongle Madness

Anyone know how to resolve this?
    Edius 5.51 installed.
Hasp drivers for Dongle installed for install disk. Even followed instructions in HowToUpdate_EDIUS5_in_Windows7(EN)_2306_2010.pdf
Edius keeps coming up with the XXX days left message and counting down
System is 64 bit Win 7.
Tried latest hasp drivers - no difference.
Dongle is lit up and also tried in diff ports.
Ran LM Manager and licence is on the dongle.

Windows sees dongle but Edius doesn't. Any ideas anyone?

the EDIUS supplied dongle driver does not work, it never has on any of my Win7 installations

dongle driver, download, unzip and install Sentinel_HASP_Run-time_ setup.zip

      Thanks Anton.
Been down that path and made no difference.

        1. close EDIUS
        2. remove dongle
        3. uninstall anything in control panel, uninstall programs that starts with name Sentinel
        4. restart PC and then install the downloaded version from my previous link
        5. restart PC and insert dongle, wait for message to say device is ready and working
        6. try EDIUS

Thanks again Anton. Unfortunately, it's a no go. It's obviously an edius issue, because Windows accepts driver, dongle lights up and all is go. Am at a loss and contemplating an OS re-install.

did you create a Win7 image by any chance? if so, you could boot from Win7 DVD and select to restore from an image created and this would fix your problems instantly

unless your dongle has a defect

borrow one from Mark at corsairsolutions.com.au
