  • Monitor 2 Full Screen ok to leave open while capturing

    EDIUS 6.05

Just wondering if capturing whilst having monitor 2 show the capured video preview. Does it take a performance hit on your capturing?

I am capturing from HDV Tape to Canopus HQ Fine. I am wondering if it is safe to have the second monitor open or will it interfer with the capture or possibly resullt in any dropped frames?

I am guessing it is only a duplicate of the small preview monitor that is normally displayed on monitor 1.

I ask this I have the HD Storm card but it doesn't display captured video only after it has been captured, don't think there is anyway to enable capture preview to the storm HDMI Ouput is there?
So I prefer to enable full screen preview on Monitor 2

I wish there was! It is a great annoyance to me not to be able to preview DV or HDV capture on an HDMI or SDI external monitor with Storm 3G. Having to use a window on a PC display is no substitute for a proper video monitor.
