  • chapter creation failes!!

    Hello,

In my video-bar (that space where you put the clips) there's a color difference at 54minutes. It goes from dark grey to light grey. I deleted the IN and OUT points, I removed the markers from my chapters and tried a lot of things, but the difference stays there.
When I choose "burn to disk" and I try to make chapters (with placed sequenced markers on my time-line) the sequence only last 54 minutes (just where the color difference is on the time bar)
And I only get 2 chapters with 2 markers (normally that would be 3 chapters).
    Can someone help me?

I've put an image so you can see my problem.

    thanks!

You clearly have an out point on the timeline.
Can you give us a screen grab of your movie tab with the settings open?

It could also be that your project duration is set in the project settings.

Try selecting the timeline and type X to make sure all In and Out points are deleted.

thanks for the help, but the screenshot I made was AFTER my typing here :) so I tried everything, even WITH the out-points... I know it looks like I used them, but I deleted them before and tried, but nothing happens...

Have you checked the duration of the timeline in the project settings?

Indeed I checked it... And indeed here it says 54min with the total length.
I changed it by choosing another preset, but still the color difference stays the same and also the chapters won't work yet... (screenshot)
what should I do after I changed the total length?? I saved it and restarted Edius, but still the color difference is there and the chapters don't work :(

help plz. and thanks again for all the help offered here :)

Your project may be correct, Export your chapters off the timeline, Create an avi file of timeline, Start a new project and import back your avi and chapter markers and try again

If you go in to the sequence settings you can remove the time constraint or adjust to new lenght.

I asked about your project setting so you can adjust that for future projects.
