  • Normalize & Izotope

    Dear Forummers,

We have discovered in Edius 5.5 that after applying Normalize the Izotope effects fail.
If we try to default the Normalize (to-20Db) the blue line(effect) remains in the clip box and Izotope still fails.

Question 1: Is there a way to delete/default the Normalize effect from a clip so that the blue line disappears from the clip (audio)?
    2. Is it true that Izotope clashes with other audio effects/settings?

    thank you,
    Hans

I just tried this with my 5.51 and I didn't have any problem with doing what you said. Are you using .mp3's by chance?
To add to this I tried a .mp3 as well and I didn't have a problem. I am able to turn Izotope on and off in the info palette.
cntrl z will undo the effect. So, at the point that you are ready to apply the normalize you can undo it.

Why not use the audio restore effect. Then add what ever Izotope effect you want. You then can turn the ones that you
    don't want off.
