  • Help me transition from Storm to Edius

I'm just transitioning from DV Storm to Edius 4.5. In Storm, Ctr I and Ctr O would set my in point and out point on a clip. When I try it in Edius it sets a marker on top but the clip stays the same. What am I missing?
Also what settings do I need in Edius to set the timeline to be similar to DV Storm's timeline-no gaps, if I move a clip, it goes to the front of the clip I move it to.

    Set In = I
    Set Out = O
=> see the default shortcut list or modify the settings I you want under Settings => Application settings => Customize => Keyboard shortcuts

2nd question => try "ripple mode" (there's a button above the timeline of shortcut "R", I usually don't switch this on), I find it easier to work with "Sync mode" on & "Ripple mode" off. The default settings can be changed under Settings => Application settings => Timeline
