  • Install edius 5.51 and 6.05 same computer

Have Edius 5.51 installed. would like to install 6.05 on different hard drive to test stability as well as new features. 5.51 has been quite stable. any concerns or problems associate with both installed. Also what would be best procedure to install 6.05 on different drive.

I dont think it will work. many here now use caddies and swap them i have 5.5 on a caddy with Vista 64 whilst E6.05 is on a caddy with Win 7 64 at least i can go back if i need to but the need to is virtually nil

You must install Edius 6.05 first and then Edius 5.51 ;-)))))))

If you want to install on a different drive, set that drive up as bootable with another copy of your OS. Then boot to that drive and install 6.05, or simply install 6.05, deleting 5.51, and stop worrying about it. 6.05 runs fine.
