6.05 hanging up.

This has come up many, many times. Change your FW800 firewire to the legacy FW400 (see Anton's great site for more information) and all will be well.

It appears to be a problem with the FW 800, When we hook it up using USB it plays fine.

Trying to edit a 190X1020 p project one layer of video and edius will just stop playing for 30 to 40 sec. (Hangs up) Then starts playing again. It is an external g-drive 500 Gigs 7200 rpm connected via FW800. Has anyone ran into this problem?
