  • layouter problem

i have 2 photos which i would like to animate.
the first one is 1024 x 768 72 dpi the second one is
    3500 x 2000 72 dpi

when i make keyframes at the beginning and at the end of the
clip and zoom in like 10 pixels or even smaller then the 2 photos
react very differently. the photo with the lower resolution is fine. very smooth.
the second one looks like hell. it seems that at a resolution above 3000 pixels
the layouter is first doing x and then y. i have linear keys on ervery position.

What if you resize your photos to make them similar before using layouter?

      then it works but....

then i have less resolution. when i want zoom in very near then i need rhe resolution. edius 6 is not capable of handling digi photos above 3000 pixels.

are u on 6.05? - i just did some quick tests and to my eye 6.05 is better than anything 6.00 > 6.03 with zooming into big stills

make sure x and y keyframes start at the same position and they are both linear

            still not fluid

x and y are on the same positio. the zoomng isnt fluid when i use pictures above 3000 pixels and zoom in or out just a little.
i updated to 6.05 and now the keyframes are linear all the time. i cant switch

right click the highest keyframe and set to spline or linear or hold and it will be applied to all

you can then change individiual keyframes to other behaviour, but you must first expand the track in question in order to do so

This is still an issue, which I have just experienced in 6.08. Definitely caused by bigger sized stills. The bigger, the worse the problem. Does it also occur in 6.5 I wonder?

Although it is only fair to note that this is the first time I've used the new Layouter in 6.0x and I have to admit, it is excellent (apart from the above). Really great job!
