Thanks for the responce. I gathered it had something to do with GUI.
I will revisit the project last done before the error occured to see if it reproduces the fault when I have 'time'.

Fyi, the DLL file referenced in that error is the library for the application GUI.
Beyond that, I don't know what to suggest (other than to use 4.51c)

Error message launching 4.51 (not C)
Hi,
Sorry for the long post.
I have been using Edius SP and 4.51 (not C) for two weeks with only one instance of the timeline/TMP(?) scrolling problem. Will uprade to 4.51c soon.
Did a small job yesterday using Edius. I experienced no problems during the job, which consisted of mainly capturing some small clip segments via analogue on an SP system and assembling on a simple timeline. The only thing I did different with this job, and I have no idea if this caused the problem but I thought I would mention it, was that I exported the timeline to DVD using DVD exporter with some markers on the timeline for chapter points. I didn't burn to DVD but saved as DVD folders so I could check the project before burning.
All worked well, and I saved back to Edius via the screen prompt after the DVD Export finished. Closed down Edius and checked the successfully created DVD and burnt using Nero.
Came back today and booted up the system, having done nothing to it since burning the DVD with Nero and shutting it down the day before. On starting Edius I was greeted with the attached error message. Rebooted a few times with no success, uninstalled Edius and reinstalled with no success, tried the MS cleanup utility mentioned on this forum with no success. Eventually I 'fumbled' through the REGISTRY deleting Canopus/Edius stuff then reinstalled and am back up working again.
I haven't tried re-exporting the project with the DVD to see if it recreates the problem yet. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this particular message at launch, what causes it or knows of a easier way to rectify it?
