Is there any way to fix the single view mode to either player or timeline without it auto selecting depending where i am clicking?

I want to have a single player window for editing and keep the preview output big on my 2nd monitor

It almost works but i dont want the timeline auto switching everytime i play it

Don't know if that's what you are looking for:

Under User Settings > Preview > Full Screen Preview you can choose if you want to have the Player oder Recorder window output displayed on the second monitor.

i have this set to recorder so i dont want another recorder window anywhere - i just want a single layout to show my edits from the bin - not the timeline but the single window will auto change to recorder as soon as the timeline plays

if you use single mon view, then it has to autoswitch otherwise you can't see what you are trimming

for best results, get a spark card and connect a HDMI monitor, this will show you correct colors and size, where the EDIUS full screen preview will show you wrong color and wrong size
