Cleaning out sound

Which is the best way to remove the Image Stabilizer sound of a lens ?, its a high pitch sound which is difficult to remove with the equalizer (Edius 6.02) without removing wanted sounds of sea birds in a nature video.....any ideas?..

Thanks, I guess you mean AR software in general, is there a way to isolate the audio from video to edit it or does it depend on software used?.

You may well get better results using something like Audition, with a spectral display and the ability to remove specific frequencies and their harmonics.

Most of these type of apps have "Healing" brushes which very cleverly remove unwanted sounds.

Thanks for that,I'll keep Audition in mind, I am trying out Adobe Sound Booth CS5 ,it has spectral display and very advanced features, although trying to remove the high pitch sound of the lens stabilizer seems extremely hard without destroying the sounds birds in the nature video I am creating.
In the future I'll have to remove the Rode mic and put it on the ground 8 feet away from the cam .......
