Problems capturing stills using Export

Using F11 to capturev still today i encountered the following problems, previously i used the capture button to bin but stopped because deleted file numbers were being re used
1 Having the capture window open reduced my buffer to 5 and therefore jog shuttling was difficult.
2 compared to using Bin you cannot drag to preview window to see on external monitor
3 I placed window on on my 2nd Edius monitor i dragged the corner to make the capture window full size. This window locked to full size and i couldnt rezise to a smaller size, none of the handles worked.
When i switched back to single monitor this window covered the whole of edius no resize and the only way was to close the window
Opening any old project produced the same result and when opened it would show the grabs from the project i was working on
In the end i did a roll back to restore window size. Rezise works when window is smaller
Was No3 a windows or Edius problem ????

3. hold shift key as you drag the corner smaller

shift disables snap to edges of EDIUS windows

you seem to have some serious system problems or we are living on different planets!
When I hit F11 the "Print to file" window opens and then I scroll down to "Others" and select "Still Image" and then given a window that allows me to select the file format, where to save it to and under advanced the field/frame/ filter to use or save single picture or save a sequence of pictures between In and Out

????

Need more info, What you are describing is nothing like I have
Maybe I am completely misunderstanding what you are getting at

Everything you say works for me too but when i opened the window to full size it froze, handles didnt work, Also Buffer went down to 5 when window was open at its normal size and returned to normal when the window was closed
Re No 3 thats why i asked was it a Window problem

I have a setting that I use which gives me a full Screen of the monitor in single mode on the left screen but does not lock, I can sesize it with ease

When I hit F11 my buffer size goes to "Pause"!! and when I close the export window it remains on "Pause"??

Does not make sense? maybe it is the different windows? may be able to help when my new system arrives

Thanks Anton all is back to normal exept for buffer whilst window is open its still 4 so makes jog virtually useless tried uping the buffer in settings makes no difference,
Barry sometimes The HDstorm doesnt kick in on launching Edius or i get an Edius failed to start notice, it did that today so it MAY have had something to do with it but only guessing
I use 3 screens (not always) but centre is EDius TL and Rec/Play monitors, Right is Bin, effects etc + Scope if used, left is HD storm output all LG M227WDP

Deep in the Grey Matter i found the reason for Buffer, Last week I installed Izotope off the Bonus Disk, What a nuisance bonus extra (for me anaway)
Buffer now runs normally after uninstalling Thanks all.

It doesnt look like Izotope was the problem, Basically choosing Print to File and choosing any option that opens a location to save/Export to immediately drops the buffer to 4 out of 5 available when space bar is pressed for play, same with Jog shuttle. can someone confirm if this is normal for buffer to drop from 170 to 5

This is normal focus is on saving not on playback.

For me and thats my opinion for capturing stills app 175 per wedding then the
export still function is not smooth jog takes time to stop and catch up as save is taking too much buffer, On my other caddy with vista and E5.5 buffer is slightly better at 18 and jog more responsive so i would think that Somewhere E6 is nibbling away at buffer
