  • Vitascene - Reset to default transition

    Hi all,
I have Edius 5.51 and Vitascene 1.0.46 (last service pack).

I re-formatted my system and re-installed Edius and Vitascene, then reloaded my project and noticed that all the vitascene transitions are now set to the default vitascene transition (a circle from the center).

Any way to recover the transitions I inserted? Is this problem already known? I'm sure the EDIUS and Vitascene version is the same I had before formatting...

    Thanks

You said you reformatted your hard drive. Anything on that drive is wiped clear upon reformat. So.....existing transitions don't exist anymore. When you load anything in for the first time all settings are set to program defaults.

Its not only VitaScene, all customized presets are gone, after "cleaning" HDD
You should use "Export User Preset Effects" to back up your presets before making a new installation.

Look on EDIUS 5.5 manual, page 583 ff:

      Export User Preset Effects
User preset effects can be exported to a .tpd file.
When upgrading to a new version of EDIUS or after a reinstallation of EDIUS, exported user preset effects can be imported into the system.
To export user preset effects, do the following:
      1. Right-click on the user preset effect or folder containing user preset
effects which you wish to export and select “Export” from the menu .....
