I understand perfectly and have no problems setting it up, but judging by the number of PM and email and phone calls I get, I can say that users are confused

Why is it not going to happen? Seems like a reasonable request from a expert in the field of using Edius. I was under the impression that GV listened to its loyal Edius users, maybe I mis-read that fact. Perhaps someone from GV may be able to explain the reasons for denying outright a sensible suggestion.

It will cause problems in certain workflows In managed environments where clients sometimes have more then 100 EDIUS licenses per site. Imagine 300 of those clients asking for a certain function.
It is part of a bigger workflow within EDIUS for our Broadcast and Post clients.
We listen, but as you may guess sometimes numbers counts.
(That's why Brandon says call support or write a letter so it can be counted)

For now the signs show that it will not likely change as it is a requested feature by a huge number of our users. It is in the workflow direction we have started to move in to.
Not saying It cannot or will not change but for now this is what we know.

Absolutely no reason to be reactionary or attempt to be inflammatory.

Whether an expert or beginner, I am sure we will all agree that if a change is made that satisfies 90% of the clients but inconveniences the other 10%, it is not a tough decision to figure out what any prudent company will do.

Please remember that your workflow is just that...YOUR workflow. As important as we all would like to think we are here, this forum is only a fraction of the number of people that use EDIUS.

Also remember that there are times that we only have a few minutes to post which results in quick answers such as my previous post vs the longer explanations such as Steve or I have now expanded on.

We only have 739 active members on the forum........A fraction of the number of licenses we have out across the globe. Just to put things in perspective..

Numbers and balance although every body is important to us.
In EDIUS 6 there is lots of stuff added which was requested by "The forum". :)
