Yeah, recently the Canopus HQ codec was gone from my machine, so I just removed Edius completely, installed 4.0 then 4.51c.

Unfortunatly, on both our machines, the HQ, Canpous Lossless, and Canopus DV CODECs have dissapeared.

(see attached for list that remains)

edit: arrrgg. Your Forum resized my optimised GIF files, then saved them as larger JPEG files in a size you can't read!! You can see in the 3D Max Exporter (left) that HQ is missing...

I posted to a similar question. I have an Intensity Pro card with Edius 4.5 installed as software only. I was working in AE CS3 and did not have any of the Canopus Codecs listed. All I did was re install Edius 4.5 and that did the trick.
The playback codecs are to be used on machines without Edius/Canopus products.

HQ and Lossless are also missing out of Premiere Pro - something I use all the time for rendering fellow editors and animators "uncompressed" HD projects into something a bit more managable.

Might have to investigate Avid's DNxHD CODEC in the interum if it's available; but would obviously like to keep everything Canopus native where possible.

Is HQ going to come back in the next release?

Are Canopus ever going to release the HQ CODEC for general download?

    Thanks!
    Chris

    Canopus HQ and After Effects

I know I have seen this here but can't find it with the search function.

I have CS3 installed and E4.5c. I exported a clip in CanopusHQ Codec and imported it into AE from within CS3. The clip opens upside down. I flipped it over and tried to export to Canopus HQ and the Canopus HQ codec is not available as an option.

I tried opening the same file in AE6.5 and it gave me a compressor error. I used to export HQ files all the time from within AE. Now that E4.5 is installed the Canopus HQ option is not there. Did I do something wrong.

And yes the dongle is inserted in case you wanted to ask.
