I am SOOO sorry, I made a mistake in my question. Of course you have access to opacity keyframes on filtered clips!

What I meant was the transitions that get placed on one clip (not a dissolve between 2 clips) like in the attached picture.

Should I start a new thread?

Never would thought of it myself but after Matt's video when using the blend filter inside the mask filter, the possibilities are endless.

Old users are indeed used to work arounds, even fading effects in the same clip using cut and desolve on it to overcome certain issues like key framable but not smooth changing YUV filter.
This has been brought up in version 4 then 5 and now 6 but indeed it is doable.

I agree and most of the long time users will. :)

Ahhhh....so don't use keyframes! use the ratio slider instead. It's doable, try it! Trust me!

If keyframe controlled filter intensity is demanded I will be on your side! ;)

That would be a request for the possibility for keyframes not opacity if you ask me.

As I understand it, the OP is after the ability to raise or reduce the power of individual filters.

@zvit, have you checked out "Blend Filters"? This may do what you're after.

What is holding you back doing it now?
    It is possible.

I moved this to the normal forum as for now it does not look like a feature request.

Enable the mix and drag the opacity slider to any value you want.
