If you click on a video clip in the Bin, the V will be highlighted (assuming you do not have it turned off).

what happens if you click a video clip in the bin?

don't feel bad, these patches fool many and who knows, they maybe a thing of the past in E7

There is nothing worn as the V tells EDIUS which track the V of a need to go to If you are not adding clips there is no problem if it Is enable or disabled.

As soon ay you click a clip on an AV clip on the time, Bin or bring one to the player window the Patches will become active again to show you which tracks are connected to them at this time.

If you wonder what 7 does why not press it?

              7 enables/ disable V patch 8 enables/disables A patches.

Did you try what I suggested? It will bring the V back if it needed.

Dan is right....It totally disappears for me some times (not just deactivates)...pretty sure it's a bug.
