  • Don't create proxies of my exports

If I was working in proxy mode, when I export a que of sequences, even though I switched proxy mode OFF, Edius will start creating proxies of my exports as it exports them. This slows down my export a great deal and I definitely don't need proxies of my exports. Is there any way around this?

Does it create proxy or a waveform cache? Can you check to make sure?
I will check but I am almost certain that you are seeing waveform cache generation.

If it is the waveform cache generation this is something reported and we are looking in to how to improve this based on how the user has adjusted the setting.
But this has nothing to do with proxies.

Yes this is linked to automatic waveform generation.
Unfortunate the waveforms for exports are still generated if you put that setting to off.
This has been reported to our QA department.

Lol... Actually, I made those years ago when I was new to Edius and couldn't figure out how to get the strobes to work. I just never got around to changing it. :-)

We spoke about Edius conforming Audio of exports and that you can't stop this. We were told that this is a known issue and is being looked into. This is great. I just want to add to this issue, that even if you Delete the exports from the bin as soon as the export que finishes, (thus, they are not in the project anymore), Edius will still continue to create the waveforms unless you close and reopen the project. Just an F.Y.I.
