Here is an example of a youtube video that was created from an h.264 export from Edius 6.03.
The project was 1080P 25FPS.
Here are the export settings, Extended Settings are as standard.
As youtube will re-encode, it's best to use as high a video bitrate that you feel best suits the image complexity of your video. Doing short exports at various bitrates will give you a good example of what bitrate you will need.
This example shows how easy it is to use Edius 6.03 for preparing your youtube video uploads. As long as you are happy with the Edius 6.03 h.264 encoder, then there is no real reason to extend your workflow outside of Edius 6.03. This is also a good workflow example for those who prefer to keep things simple.
Cheers.
Dave.

Creating clips for YouTube & Vimeo
Hi All,
We get a lot of e-mails and calls about exporting files for YouTube and Vimeo.
Here are links to their own recommended settings:
YouTube
Vimeo
On the right hand side of the Vimeo page there is a video tutorial for the majority of NLE software including EDIUS 6.
I have also used the MPEG 2 Generic exporter with the default settings and the H264/AVC exporter option in EDIUS 6.03 for upload as well.
MPEG 2
H264
Hope this helps guys.
Regards
