Could you minimized the info and effects window and put it there instead of on top of Edius.

I don't think that pinning application will stay on top of the info window, because it's always on top of everything else?

              You can also use powermenu.

This one Ii have not tried but I have a friend who swears by it.

I don't think it's going to work...even on Dual monitors where you can have Edius on one window and the word doc on the other.

This would be a good place to own a laptop :)

I'm with StormDave - add another monitor. Even a simple USB VGA adapter would work, since you don't need super-high-resolution.

If you have a spare machine or laptop, you could use something like MaxiVista if the script needs to be running on the same machine as EDIUS.
