    which version EDIUS? which titler?

both E5 and E6 have layout tool with keyframes, dead simple to move a title across the screen and out as long as you place the title on a V track above the video

it can also done with the titler itself, roll or crawl

in that case you can use crawl or roll text in QT

or use layout with keyframes on title that is in V track (F7)
