.MOV file will not import

I have several clips released by Focus Films from a junket and had hoped to bring them into my Edius 6 system. The file type is not supported. We have converted them to HD MPEG2 in the past but am looking for something we can do native. Properties are said to be XDCAM EX with .MOV wrapper.
Looks like it is 1080i5994 35Mbit 4:2:0 LG. thank Jeff at KARE Televsion.

Best is to re-wrap them to mpeg or m2ts or mxf with ffpeg.

but performance in Edius is poor, because it's not decoded by Edius build in decoder, but this plugin.
