  • Timecode problems with AVCHD files from Sony NEX-FS100

Eius can not display the time code in the right way in an AVCHD file from Sony NEX-FS100.
Only every fourth frame is the source time code displayed briefly.
My question is will the problem be fixed in an upcoming patch
    Tom

Does your Project Settings match your camera frame rate?

Both cameras use the same file format, not a fault of Edius.

How do HQ converted files behave?

What is the frame rate of the original asset? Is it 50p?

Not sure what files you are using but if they have been transferred by the CMU they will show the timecode correctly in either m2ts or HQ files. If the realtime date or time is displayed it will only be available I think on the i frame so then all data is only shown once for each GOP whether on a single line or 2 lines. If you only need source timecode then its there all the time on one line display.

Thats correct Ron. My Sony 550Ve will show both lines
Just checked my MC2000 also shows date and time of recording as well
This may be a Sony thing and not Edius but its a nice feature which would be nice if GV could incorprate for the NX etc Range
I thought it was 1 in every 25 but it actually is every 13 frames
