  • HDV Capture Preset

    Input H/W Format Settings = Canopus HQ @ 1440x1080 59.94i
    This is understood.

    Output H/W Format Settings = (DV)720x480 59.94i 16:9(DVD)
What does this mean for project output possibilities.

    Thanks.

    Thanks.

you can ignore that, I also asked for clarification and was told to ignore because when outputting HDV back to tape, it works the same as E5 by using ts writer

Thanks. Typically I want to output to DVD or output a HD file for use in Adobe software for BluRay Disc creation. In the DVD case, does EDIUS output a BluRay disc. And in the case of file output, does EDIUS output the timeline "as is" and not a DV file.

for best results, output timeline to Canopus HQ Fine, this will keep correct size, frame rate and maintain quality, then use this file in other software

or export to mpeg HD elementary stream (very fast) and use it direct in Adobe Encore (accepts without further encoding)

        the same for SD

the EDIUS disk burner has several problems and limitations, I would use it for quick customer previews only
