    Avid DNxHD

    Hi

    Does anybody know if it is safe to install the Avid DNxHD Codec on an Edius machine and can I edit these files in Edius 6.03

      No problem installing the avid codecs. It should give you the option of exporting DnxHD via the quicktime export menu in Edius. (Installing the canopus codec seemed to give me the option of exporting canopusHQ in avid, too- but there was a stupid 4GB limit on avi export in avid...)
      But- I don't think you can edit them DnxHD in edius. (I'd like to be wrong.)
      And I have a feeling there is a colour-space problem (related to quicktime?) involved in going either way.
      Work: Edius 7.20.437 on HP Z220 workstation; Edius 6.08 on i7 running Win 7 64 bit 6 GB RAM. Neo 2.0 on a Lenovo T61. JVC GY-HD201 and GY-HD110.
      Home: Canon HV20 and Panasonic GH1 (hacked); Neo 3.01 on HP elitebook 8440p i7 and Neo 1 on homemade dualcore desktop.

              There is a color issue in the Avid codec
              DNA:)
              Does it have to be that particular codec.
              If not the meridian versions seemed to work ok.
