I'm having troubles with Edius 6.03 crashing, I start to add and trim clips and the whole thing freezes, this is the first time I've had this problem, the last 2 projects still seem to be ok they are all 1920 x 1080i projects the only thing is that the clips I'm using at the moment are 1280 x 720p which I'm hoping to integrate with later 1920 x 1080 clips is that the problem? should I convert them first? the only other thing I've done since the last project is to install Vegas, DVD Architect and DVD MovieFactory on another drive is there a conflict there? I've also installed the 6.03 upgrade but was having the problem before that, anyone any ideas please?

Are you converting these files to HQ? I noticed that you are running a P3 3.0.
You are severely under powered for Edius 6.03. If you haven't converted to HQ, try it and see what happens.
Also, if you are going to be using 1920x1080 files, start with that project and bring the 1280x720 files into that. If you are doing that now, try converting.
But, you said you were having problems before the update. Anything running in the background like antivirus or 3rd party windows programs. Check that and turn them off.

Thanks Jerry, I started a 1280x720 project put all the files of that resolution on the timeline and did some rough editing with no problems, so I then converted it to a HQ file (I couldn't change the output resolution so it had to stay the same)
and re-opened the 1920x 1080i project and took the HQ file into it, everything worked fine even though there were mixed resolutions on the timeline, so the HQ convert made the difference.
