edius not seeing the DVD burner

I just installed Edius 6.0 on my home computer. After editing I tried to burn it to DVD. The problem is when I go to burn to DVD it is gray. I know the burner works because I have burned data DVDs and I used Sonic DVD to make videos. I tried taking the blank DVD in and out and change it but nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

this is usually because the project settings are not DVD compliant

what frame size/rate is your project?

First check if the out is not before the in point on the time line.
Then make sure project is one that can actually be burned to dvd. (spec)
