  • Edius DVD Creator question

When editing the layout of a menu in Edius DVD Creator, is there a way to copy and paste text styles for the sequence names?

I have just made a 4 sequence menu, where the titles were the buttons. I wanted to make them a custom colour and add effects like emboss, but I couldn't find an easy way to copy that style to each text box.

I ended up having to note the colour RGB numbers and emboss strength and manually type those in. I hope there is an easier route?

Hi John, I can't find this particular issue in the manual.

I tried the "save" and "apply" option, but it didn't seem to work with the text boxes. It might be me, but perhaps someone could tell me if that should work?

not working here... i save a "layout" and re-select the preset, then apply to the same text i was customized and it works but only on this not on others

layout save and apply is for positioning of items

lets say you place chapters closer together on menu1 and save layout, then go to menu 2 and apply layout, now it will look the same in terms of positioning

This is getting slightly off topic.

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to have the same text properties (colour and effect) for each text box easily, rather than by having to enter the parameters into each text item?

I guess not John It only works as Anton said I tried it last night I guess a new feature request is required to save default font etc and even to save a layout that can be later recalled and used in other projects

It's not so much a layout issue, but the ability to just copy and paste text attributes to other text. I tried selecting all the text items I wanted to change by holding down the shift key, but although it highlights those text items, it doesn't allow property changes.

So perhaps I should put this into a feature request?

your feature request has been implemented in T4AW and DVD Lab Pro :)

                    you will never look back

consider the EDIUS disk burner a tool for quickie customer previews, avoid its motion menu feature if you want the disk to play in most players
