am confused - what is the actual frame rate of the footage - make sure the project settings match this and you wont get ghosting

right click on the file and select properties - the * next to the frame rate number is the actual frame rate of the file.just make sure the project is set at this rate too

If the frame rate of your footage is 27.97 is is not 60p.
Can you post a screen shot of
              1 your project settings
2 property window of the clip . (select clip press alt+ enter)

The information you have provided is confusing.
Let us see what you have so we can help you.

                thanks,

                i did a mistake,

                my footage is 1080 30p
                it s ntsc,

i have no ghost when i open the same footage in a ntsc edius project,

my big trouble now is that i can t switch pal project to ntsc project,

so I HAVE TO DO ONCE AGAIN ALL MY EDIT !!!!

please confirm that we cant move from an full hd pal project to an full hd ntsc project.

here is the video with the ghosting
Sorry, we couldn’t find that page

Do you see ghost when you just playback at normal speed?

can you explain what you did in order to shoot slomo? do you mean you switched camera to 60p and then when you place it on 30p timeline, you go to clip properties and change frame rate to 30p, this will then play the clip smooth at half normal speed

                    is that what you did?

btw: NTSC footage on Pal timeline will not look smooth

I am surprised the camera can't shoot 50p, then you could have perfect slow motion in Pal 25p project

                            Yup

I shot with an af 101 you can t use vfr in pal. When you rec in vfr it s'recording in slow motion, you dont have to slow the clip, the native footages are still slow. The quality is perfect when the camera is well configured. You must be in freq 59 94 using 1080 30 p. You may know that the ghosting is created by the bad freq pal parameter project. I tried everything in pal, it changed nothing for the ghosting.
I took a paperbook and wrote all my edit...today i ll re do the edit.
I learnt one thing : never forget the first step before climbing on the top of the world :)

I tried to import in aaf edl, i tried to import my sequence, the freq blocked everything so...this is a second thing i learnt, You Can t switch to an ntsc project when you are in pal, it might be a good thing possible for edius 7 ?

                            Peace
                            Thx for support

If you want good slomo , you need to shoot it at 60fps or 50fps, not 30fps.
