  • Edius NX, Edius 4 and Xplode Pro, problems, help!

Hi, I have just assembled a new PC but I have many problems with Edius 4 and Xplode Pro. I use Sony FX7 HDV camera to shot.
    I make an example.
If I drag a 30 seconds file on the Edius 4 timeline and I cut it on the midway some Xplode Pro transitions work fine and in realtime but some even don't work at all. I see thetwo clips withour transition.
Then if I use Xplode for Edius, on the Edius monitor I see green only.
I am worried and Saturday I'd like to format my HD but I am worried I will have the same problem.
    Thanks for your info.

SAPPHIRE RADEON X1950XT card should work fine. But in ATI control center in 3D section put all sliders to maximum and uncheck the "use application settings" everywhere in this 3D section. Press APPLY.
Now open EDIUS/Xplode EDIUS Config and then EDIUS/Xplode PRO Config.
Each of then in 3D render tab shoul be on "ATI Hardware Renderer". Press CONFIG button on the right side and check that "(1)Radeon X1950 Pro - Direct3D T&L HAL" is used. do not use one with software antialiasing!!!- but that option should be available- if not- your videocrd configuration is wrong (ATI control center ).
Settings should be identical for Xplode Pro and Xplode for Edius.
    Good luck!

Thanks a lot for your help. My english is not fine and you have not understood my problem. ATI control center is configured well and every transitio works fine except some transitions: In Xpode Pro/3D Objects these transitios don't work at all.
      3D Object Props
      3D Object Pull
      3D Object Transition
      3D Object Wipe

When I add a transition and when the timeline run in the cutting clip (on the transition) I don't see any transition but the crossing between two clips without transition but sometime with a little trouble. Sometime I see in the Edius 4 monitor a full green page.
      This is my proble.

      A different thing.
In Xplode for Edius configurazion I don't see Ati card even if in it folder I have add XEnVidiaATI manually.

Can I solve my problems? Have I format my HD?
      Thanks for your suggestions

Xplode for Edius or Xplode pro requires lots of PC resource, sometimes it can not be played realtime, you can add an 'in' point and an 'out' point, then render
        them

I'm sorry but it is not the problem. In my Edius 4 every transition works in realtime. No problem. Buth Edius doesn't see some transitions. With hardest transitios it works fine but with different transitions, after adding the transition between two clips, I don't see the transitions even if it there is physically.
If I make rendering I have the same problems.
I thank you of your help.

can you name such a transition so we can test and confirm

I know that many 3D object transitions are faulty in Xplode 4.5 Pro, however they work fine for standard definition 4:3 aspect

I use Sony FX camera (Pal HDV) and in Edius 4 I have these settings:
On the left NHX-E2 HD 50Hz and on the right HDCAM/DVCPRO HD/HDV 1080/50i
                  Rendering Format AVI Canopus HQ

These transitions don't work at all:

                  In Xpode Pro/3D Objects
                  3D Object Props
                  3D Object Pull
                  3D Object Transition
                  3D Object Wipe

and all the transitions in Standard area don't work:
                  Xplode Pro/Standard

Every other differents transitions work fine.

                  thanks

I have downloaded Xplode Pro for Edius 4 from Canopus site. I have problem with Xplode for Edis too. Any transition doesn't work.
